Lately I've been getting a really stiff neck when I wake up, sometimes so bad I can hardly move it. I can feel my muscles are really tight all across my shoulders. I do use a computer but not much, just an hour or so in the evenings and some days not at all.
I've tried different pillows/less pillows/more pillows, and try to loosen up before bed, but still wake up in pain. I'm seeing a physio in a few weeks, but in the meantime does anyone have any suggestions eg exercises I can try, or even herbal remedies??
I'm also thinking of booking a massage to relieve the tension, and maybe getting one of those special pillows that's meant to support your back & shoulders - are they any good?

Massage is good, so is wind-down!
By this I mean gentle exercise to rejuvenate joints and muscles which have been used to excess for any lengthy period, such as arms, legs, shoulders, hips and neck.
